Deer Skinning Rack – An Intermediate Level DIY project

A step by step tutorial with ample photos showing how to build an awesome and useful deer skinning rack. This is an intermediate level construction project but a beginner can do it with some help. I built it alone in one weekend. Using salvaged lumber and roofing materials, the total cost was about $100. This 7 foot by 9 foot skinning rack has room for up to 3 deer at once.

This is the You Tube video version of tutorials I wrote which were published on Yahoo and at All rights reserved, however feel free to post elsewhere with appropriate credit to me.

If you have any questions about the project, feel free to post below.

  1. Looks great. I would add 4 more legs on the corners. Would hate to string up a large buck and the thing come toppling over.
