Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Kung Zhu for Nintendo DS developed by 1st Playable Productions and published by Activision.

Kung Zhu takes everyone’s favorite band of marketing-tie-in hamsters, the Zhu Zhu Pets, and gives them swords and hammers and fierce uppercuts and rocket launchers. That seems a little excessive for your average, run-of-the-mill hamster, but in this case they’re tasked with maintaining world peace from their military HQ… until suddenly a number of their comrades-in-arms are kidnapped. Who’s gonna save them? ANTHOPOMOPRHIC HAMSTERS.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Kung Zhu for Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s TJ.

  1. Ho\Just beat this in 2 hours and didn't die once. Its not a bad game, but not great. its the definition of ok.

  2. I have this game and today I just beat the game…
Where the hell is my other 1%?
I collected all the orbs and tablets, as well as the upgrades for health and armor.

  3. I'm here because I came into work today and a coworker said he had something for me. Yesterday he got to work and hopped out of his car (I didn't work yesterday) and he found 5-6 copies of this game in the parking spot. They had been run over, possibly more than once. So he gave them out and saved one for me. (Yay?)
That's why I'm here watching this review.

  4. I like how Derek reviewed the 3 zhu zhu games that were all identical, and TJ reviewed the 1 game that was actually different

  5. What nonsense. Both Derek and TJ have their own and very valid styles. It's not TJ's fault if you don't understand dem big words. Piss off

  6. TJ spends the entirety of his reviews using unnecessary language and analytics to break down the game on a fundamental level. We didn't come here for a lesson in your intelligence, we came to see if this is worth picking up! Well, either that or just to listen to Derek talk. I like Derek.
